Dead Space 03:41
Another day has passed And you judge me just the same Another disability You seem convinced I have And throughout this storm I wonder why you target me But it's nothing I've done So let me go in peace You're not a part of my life But you think you know it all If I could up and touch the sky You'd be here waiting for the fall You tried to make it out Like you're the martyr here But I think that you Just want the light pulled off your flaws And it's coming To break me down But not this time, no not this time I know where I stand Do you know where you stand? I don't blame you But what I hate is All this hate I don't wanna let the sun set On another day with this open wound But I can't make peace With the dead space in your mind I don't wanna have to leave this But attention begs to be had I guess I have to blame The dead space in your heart Another circle we've made Words you just won't hear I wanna get through to you But you closed your mind I want to make this work But you're breaking me down I try to get through to you But you closed your heart The other life you lead Isn't so far from me But you pretend you have Another miles over mine If I could climb up to you You'd push me down to watch the fall But if I'm so naive How did I get this far at all? And it's coming To break me down But not this time, no not this time I know where I stand Do you know where you stand? I don't blame you But what I hate is All this hate I don't wanna let the sun set On another day with this open wound But I can't make peace With the dead space in your mind I don't wanna have to leave this But attention begs to be had I guess I have to blame The dead space in your heart (I won't forget you but I will forgive you)

Burn it down Come on Stand for something that's bigger than you are Go We don't need this; Let's burn it down This life More than just a memory We have One chance to give it worth Can't keep Bleeding hearts from enemies We will love Come on And I won't Just turn a blind eye to all this wrong There's something to stand for We can't Sit on the sidelines and watch this burn There's something worth saving here These homes Burning down, losing hope Need help Brothers we will bring it there Need love Sisters will you help us? Come stand by me Stand for something that's bigger than we are We won't stand for this - sing it with me We won't stand for this We will stand for love We won't stand for this We will burn this down And I won't Just turn a blind eye to all this wrong There's something to stand for We can't Sit on the sidelines and watch this burn There's something worth saving I won't Just turn a blind eye to all this wrong There's something to stand for We can't Sit on the sidelines and watch this burn There's something worth saving here

We tried to tell you This road is broken Don't travel further For your own sake The fire's spreading Consuming all things Please come back home Before it's too late I tried to save you (You're praying for rain) Someone help me I want to help you (Cuz you can't be to blame) Don't leave me here I tried to warn you (But I see your pain) Someone save me Take my hand now (This isn't a game) Please don't let go I don't know if I can save you Cuz every time I Reach out you run away I don't think that You're that broken But every heart you Shun and close out Now you're scared and Just can't take this Leap of faith but I Can't do it for you Wall your heart in Against your friends and Continue on your Lonely road I can't save you unless you let me
4.
Break Me 03:31
Your questions to the letter They burn down to my heart But your answers always lacking A truth one of us won't face I can't tell you where I'm headed But I can tell you where I've been I can't pick out all the shades, but I can say for sure, it's a kind of red This time you cannot shake me This time I will stand firm I may be far from home, but How would you know? (This is) My plea, my cry, my fear Please don't forget me Your attack, your assault Set sail for my shores Your cause, your fight, your war Don't drag me into this My walls, my habits My life you're breaking down My questions never answered Left eating at your mind A thought we just can't handle Seemed it was fine before I don't fix things that aren't broken But now we've made a mess I don't know what you want but I can say for sure, you don't either This time, God, please just break me This time don't make me guess If I'm so far from home then Show me the way back (How do you know?) (How do you know who I am?) What makes anyone think they know Where I am? I'm still right here Break me down God I'm right here Show me the way I don't know if They are right I don't know if I am wrong I'm still right here Give me a sign I'm here waiting Show me the road I can't see straight I'll find my way I need the Light; I'll find my way
5.
Let go of fear Broken, drowning Suffocating Dying, inside I see it in your eyes Torn, and crying Will hold it in no more Longing to break Your fear Spirit falling Now for the impact Wither away I know there's more to this Fading, and burning The haze will melt away Once you can break it Your fear You told me you were fine You said you didn't care (I don't care) But we both know That's just not true I saw you drowning there I saw you struggling (I need air) But the life boat Is still right there Holding on tight Gasping frantically Desperate for air So close, but so far If you can make it You know it's for the best So fight on, fight hard No fear Breaking through now Your closer to the top But you can't, quite taste it The water for the poor But open, your eyes and You'll see the guiding light Open your heart and No fear (Let go of fear) I have God now, No fear I have God so I have no fear
6.
As I walk down this road I pray that I can find my home But I know that this world Changes and nothing stays the same And I tried so hard to show you a life A life that's worth living But you don't even care For the people who love you 'Til their last dying breath This town Is not my home These empty streets Lead me to nowhere This road The fork we found Takes us apart Fade into memory As I recall the memories Of a town that used to know my name I see the faces of old friends that No longer walk with us
7.
We Will Hold 03:21
We'll scream it out We'll scream it out Show the world your lies today We'll bleed it out We'll bleed it out This disease in our nation So give it up So give it up We'll build a world on love today We'll burn it down We'll burn it down These idols have no power So come break me And come try me If you think you can I think you misjudge me So come break us And come test us If you think you can I think you mistake us This is not what they wanted This is the breaking point I ask you now stand by me Together we will hold This is the world we live in And now it's ours to change This is our chance to shine and Now we won't back down We'll carry on We'll carry on In spite of lies throughout our lives We'll hold our own We'll hold our own And make our way without despair So pick it up So pick it up All the pieces that you broke And give it back And give it back We're taking back our lives today Ladies and gentlemen: At this point in the show, we would like to ask you To pick up your feet and Start something new
8.
Price to Pay 03:29
This is the price we pay When we just carry on And never look this way 'Cause we don't care to change it And what a price to pay When we just stay the same I dare you, look this way It's only a mirror Come on Get up and off your feet The dream is over So start something Come on It's time to take your place This time it's real So start something This city needs a hero This town needs a Savior This place needs someone to rise up from the ashes Of all this wrong and take a stand We need to be heroes And stand for the Savior This world needs us to rise up from the ashes Of all this wrong and take a stand Come on Don't wait, don't hold your breath The clock is ticking So start something Come on It's time to take a stand It's all or nothing So start something I will be the hands and feet Of Jesus
9.
Home to Me 03:51
As time moves on Like an empty train I realize That all things change As we move on Fade and melt away I realize that Home won't stay My life's breaking It wasn't built to stand this This isn't much to you But it's home to me The glass shatters The pieces of my past They tell a story About what's home to me This place is just not enough These lights are pretty But they can't love This place is just not enough I can't live here 'Cause there's just no love Life carries on As we drift away And still I hear the echoes In this place We once called home But now have left In the dust to age 'cause Home won't stay This world is just not enough This house is empty And it can't love This world is just not enough This town is empty And there's just no love
10.
I'm looking back tonight On all the memories, the things we did The things we said we never would forget And now it's time to turn the page again But don't forget It's you Nothing they say Will ever take away What you mean to me In the heart of The storm You are my home The arms that hold me I'm waiting here tonight For all the promises, the things you said I swear that I will will be here through the night Until my time to leave is here So don't forget It's you

8894 04:05
So here we are - You know sometimes, you just keep working And you put all the blood, sweat, and tears into something you love And it's like you're smashing your head into a brick wall Well this one here, this song, is for everyone who knows what I'm talking about So if you know what I'm saying, put your hands up in the air right now And clap 'em along with the beat Cause this is where we are, right now We're gunna jump in with nothing left to see but A hard-earned place, among the best there is and I wanna keep it all and pull my weight but They try to hold me down, and they're tryin' to keep me back So I'm gunna let it go this time, and just lift up this prayer Because I'm counting on hard work and sacrifice The things they say made every great man And I'll keep trying - Because I know my time's coming I steel my resolve and Prepare fight my way through And you will find out what it's like …to fail Cause I'm the storm, the thunder And I can't be slowed down And every enemy will learn …to bow We all know life isn't always fair You don't always get what you've earned And they don't always get what they deserve But sometimes, it doesn't matter There are some times when you can just seize fate, You can grab it by the throat and make it your own Sometimes - you can just take it And those are the times where nothing can stand in your way Where no man on earth, no mountain high Nobody, I mean nobody, can stop you It doesn't matter what they got, because you want it more You're the juggernaut, you got the whole world in front of you And it's just ripe for the taking Now come rain or shine, hell or high water Come whatever they think they can bring at you - They're still gunna see you at the top before this is over I steel my resolve and Prepare fight my way through And you will find out what it's like …to fail Cause I'm the storm, the thunder And I can't be slowed down And every enemy will learn …to bow
12.
The Marching 03:42
Can you hear them marching Can you hear it coming now? I saw it once when It came from underground I saw it marching On its way to town Now no one is safe And its gunna drag you down You hear them marching You'll run but you'll never hide It always sees you This march is never-ending You hear the echoes Of all our footsteps I know it's coming It sounds just like rollin' thunder Now that it's taken you I just won't be the same Life marches on but I can't keep pace with it They say that time will heal I know it never will Life marches on but I still wait for you You hear the echoes And you know it's coming now Nowhere to run and The rain is pouring down You'll think your safe But that's when they find you There's nothing left so Time to accept this You hear the echoes Of life all around you They're deaf to hear it But you see the countdown One day they'll hear it Just like you now You're gunna die But where will they take you? It won't come for luck or for strength No way to dodge this It won't come for wealth or for skill No way to guess who's next They warned us this could happen You claimed it never would Their words they went unheeded And we lived without fear They told us to be careful Strength won't save you then They warned us but we told them This can't happen here And now I watch you lying Can't bear to see this A truth I try to ignore But this happened here Our path was far from perfect So much left undone And now You're Gone
13.
The maps they made sit on shelves Years gone to waste, for their neglect And others still, don't have a map They walk without a light Dear mother, father; I recognize The worth of the maps you laid for me Your trade your lives, I won't forget It was all for us They sail through uncharted seas One day soon you will come to see (I came to see) Now we don't have to (Now we don't have to) They mark the trail, they test the path So that one day you too can be free (I can be free) Thank you for everything (Everything) The maps you made won't sit on shelves Not a day to waste I won't neglect While others may not have a map I walk; I have your light Dear mother, father; I recognize The worth of the trails you marked for me You were, you are, and don't forget The best, the very best
14.
It was not that long ago That I was on my knees Didn't have the air to speak No hope left in my dreams What lies buried here? Why do I forget? I saw the ghost of me That's when I heard You say - "Have you forgotten the times when you felt so alone? Don't you remember how I stayed by your side? Have you forgotten the single set of footprints? Don't you remember, loving Me at all?" I can't feel that far away It's just too dark to see I can't find the Light, my guide No love left inside me I know what's in my past I've seen what others can't But I won't live this way Because I heard You say - "Have you forgotten the times when you'd forsaken me? Don't you remember how I stayed by your side? Have you forgotten the Love that kept you from despair? Don't you remember, loving Me at all?" I wish I could stay like this Like I am in the middle of the darkest night Because when I'm alone is when I see the Light Why do I feel like I don't belong? Why do I act like I'm above when I feel like I'm beneath? Why do I feel like I can't talk to you? Why am I buried; is this my grave? I won't stand for this; something needs to change This is my life, my one chance And I won't let this world take it me Show me the way, God And bring me to the fire Because it's cold out here without your desire "Have you forgotten the times when you'd forsaken me? Don't you remember how I stayed by your side? Have you forgotten the Love that kept you from despair? Don't you remember, loving Me at all? Have you forgotten the times when you felt so alone? Don't you remember how I stayed by your side? Have you forgotten the single set of footprints? Don't you remember, loving Me at all?" (I will remember, remember You... I will remember) (I will remember, remember You... I will... remember...)

about

Heart of the Storm is Jordan Bridgman's sophomore effort and first full-length album. The ten tracks found on the standard release stay true to the sound of Letters From Paul; a handful of synthetic spice sprinkled in among a fusion of genres that bear heavy metalcore influences. Among the four tracks unique to the special edition release, one is a remix of a single off Letters From Paul, and the other three bring some stylistic diversity to the table.

The Special Edition version of the album also includes the digital booklet (PDF format), as well as a two desktop images based on the two cover designs for Heart of the Storm.
